Lately I've been so demotivated to do really anything and I was wondering if anti depressants would be the solution to my problem. I was wondering if those who take them can give me some advice.

Are there any serious negative side effects you experience? Does it really help overall or is it all just cope? My sister who's taken them (back when she pretended she had depression) said it made her mind foggy and it felt like she wasn't really alive, but just watching herself carry out her daily actions and all that jazz. Then she said it was absolutely hell getting off them for at least a week. Do you guys who currently take anti depressants have these issues, or other negative issues, or have they improved you somewhat? I don't expect them to be a magical cure all by any means.

I take Esitalopram(lexapro), it works pretty well.

i take street drugs cus only they are hard enough tbh tbh

ketamine is especially potent. The whole world fades away and all you feel is happiness.

Does it help you feel motivated despite your situations? That's my main problem due to inceldom, I have absolutely 0 motivation.

They allowed me to do things I couldn’t before like go into public places without thinking about it too much. The tiredness and weight gain were too much though so I stopped.

I've been on and off them for over 10 years now with mixed results. They can be a valuable crutch when you're in a shit place but obviously they aren't a magical cure all in the long term. Some of them even gave me strange heart pains which was pretty off putting. You'll probably have to try a few to find something that is the best compromise of side effects and overall benefits.

I'm on one I'm still depressed

incels are too far in nothing will help just hope to be reborn

I've been on Prozac. It didn't do much to help my constant demotivation but it at least allowed me to not feel like a piece of shit all the time.

All I got from prozac/fluoxetine was a dry mouth

Stopped after a few months

I think they're good but escitalopram disrupts my sleep a bit. Mirtazapine is fantastic for sleep and boosts my appetite but makes me groggy.

Overall I preferred St. John's Wort and I just take 300-600 mg on the days I'm feeling super anxious or run down.

I take Welbutrin and Lexapro........before I took them I would snap and have huge anger fits. Especially after a huge loss for one of my sports teams.

The W and L help this extreme anger, but I still have moments of anger and one negative part is jacking it is extremely hard to do when on these meds.

A lot of the times dehydration and lack of nutrition contributes to the zombie feeling. I recommend Trintellix. It's pricier, but it has the least side effects out of every anti-depressant.

You will experience side effects only within the first week of taking it. Your body will need to get used to it being in your system. You might get dizzy, have diarrhea, vomit (maybe), and have minor headaches. After about a week you won't experience those things and you will feel a lot more manageable. You will complete tasks and be able to focus better on important things.

weed is my anti-depressant, and it's safer than all those experimental 12 syllable, unpronouncable drugs big pharma is selling in TV ads

Whatever works. There are various side effects and some work better for some people and some work better for others. And they don't eradicate depression, just make it manageable, so, yes, you can get off the couch, get things done, not be too miserable to go out in public. Oh, and don't know if it matters to you or not, but they can really interfere with the ability to have a goddamn orgasm. So I have to schedule days off - "drug holidays" - just so I can have a satisfying wack.

I take afexor which has made me able to control my emotions and actually function like a normal human bean.

I take it that chemistry isn’t your strongest area of expertise lolol

I would buy some but nobody has told me where to get it from. Hopefully it'll kill of my sex drive as I can't afford escorts. Also going to need smart drugs also. Pm me.

(((Antidepressants)))

I started taking mine 3 days ago (Citalopram), and i've been feeling terrible, there's a strong sense of disassociation like your sister described and i also struggle with intense anxiety when i realise how strange and weird i feel.

Psychologist said this is normal and the positive effects start 2-4 weeks later. Hoping this is true because i'm at serious risk of roping if this continues.

Most dudes who went ER experimented with SSRIs. I think it's dumb to blame going ER entirely on them though. There is clinical evidence that they do more good than harm.

Nobody who went ER, wanted to go ER. They were all just trying to find that easy fix. It could be that popping a happy pill wasn't enough. Or it could have been that stopping the happy pills are what caused ER.

Ultimately the pill is a huge crutch. In most cases don't do it. But, if you are gonna take the pills- you gotta be disciplined, and not randomly quit.

There are drugs with little side effects and won't interact with each other for low inhibitionmaxing and feeling better.

- Focalin, stimulant for ADHD
https://www.drugs.com/focalin.html

- Gabapentin, pain reliever and sedative
https://www.drugs.com/gabapentin.html

- Propranolol, beta-blocker that lowers heart rate and blood pressure
https://www.drugs.com/propranolol.html

- Lexapro, antidepressant and anti-anxiety ssri
https://www.drugs.com/lexapro.html

- Carisoprodol, mild sedative
https://www.drugs.com/carisoprodol.html

- Etizolam, thienotriazolodiazepine that has amnesic, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, hypnotic, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AaU83IDl0k
It can be bought as a research chemical for your pet at https://www.etizolab.com/product/etizest/

- Diphenhydramine, antihistamine can help with sleep and has sedative properties
https://www.drugs.com/diphenhydramine.html

- Shrooms, a little is ok but not too much with the antidepressant
https://youtu.be/FByE-ppYIkI

- Nitrous oxide, inhalational anesthetic

Mixing alcohol with those may be dangerous, but weed and tobacco seems ok. Be careful with other meds and herbal supplements, and start off slow.

Try to take something that you wont be dependent on or get addicted to. It will probably cause you alot of money problems and you might be worse off than you are sober.

Opiates and opioids have mostly the same effect, but some idiots can't do them in moderation, so they're villified.

never tried anti depressants even though i should be on them.
Xanax works wonders tho...

I’d give them a try. There are many different classes of antidepressants, your doctor will prescribe depending on your symptoms. If you’re worried about weight gain, not all of them cause it and if that’s a big concern for you tell your psychiatrist, they’re usually open to working around side effects you’d find intolerable. Some of them also work on comorbid issues, so if you have anxiety or ADHD they will give you different meds. The only one I gained significant weight on was imipramine (Tofranil) which is an older tricyclic antidepressant that we tried after other meds stopped working. Some of them you have to taper off of, but if you taper and don’t stay on them too long it’s usually not that bad. Medication management has helped me a lot.

Have you tried focalin? I thought it made me crazy angry when I was on it in HS but I think I was just crazy angry. I’ve been thinking of trying it again. Don’t know anyone who’s taken it though.

Day 4 on citalopram 10mg and i had the worst panic attack of my life, felt like ice was coursing through my veins along with intense nausea. I also feel completely disconnected with everything, very similar to being high without the euphoria.

Shits not worth it, i threw in the towel and want to go back to normal. DO NOT take anti depressants unless it's your absolute last resort, the side effects are pure torture.

Try to alleviate depression naturally by changing your diet, exercising 5 days a week, meditating and getting a hobby. If you still feel like roping after this then get on meds, otherwise don't bother.

Try escitalopram, I'm very sensitive and only had a stomach ache and sleepiness the first few weeks.

nembutal would be the solution to my problem

Nah i'm done for the next few months, got exams to do and there's no way i'm risking side effects anymore. I'll likely try again once semester break comes.

Taking AD's was a huge wakeup call, i'm starting to realise just how serious this is and how we are stuck in negative feedback loops which is reinforced with shitty lifestyle habits. Ascension is no longer a desire, it's an absolute necessity.

anti-depressants just make you numb. If you wanna lobotomize your positive and negative emotions, go ahead.
bad side effects include: not being able to feel shit, probably being suicidal when coming off of them

It depends largely on the individual. Most people have to try several different anti depressants before they find one that works for them.

If/When you find one, the effect is also different from person to person but generally you experience that negative events do not affect you as much anymore and that it's much harder to hold and dwell on negative thoughts.

extasy microdosing = normie everday ???

anyone tried it

I don't have anxiety and function just fine, but I'm angry at the state of society, how men are worth less than garbage, and how unbalanced things are.

Is that classified as depression or something else?

Maybe you don't need the depression and anxiety drugs, but the shrooms and sedatives can be better than alcohol.
