This isn’t the case though, as I said the Rust Belt is the reason Hillary lost to Trump (despite actually having 2 million more people in the country vote for her.) She was massively unpopular in those swing states because she was one of the main pushers behind NAFTA and those were the states that were most affected by the outsourcing of industrial jobs that came with that deal. Bernie is by far and away the most popular politician in the Rust Belt because he very publicly opposed NAFTA and campaigned with many Union leaders in the area against it, he is really loved in those States and many usual democratic voters there refused to vote in 2016 out of personal bitterness towards outsourcing Hillary. Sanders would have held those voters and he even had a good record among traditionally voting republican voters in that area. Had this happened Trump would not have taken the Rust Belt states which were what ultimately won him the election.

It doesn't matter how well he does in a certain area if he trailed by like 10 points in national polling. The electoral map and situational performance in states matters, but not if you're just getting blown out. I understand that you're probably a Bernie fan, but the truth was he just seemed insane to everyone that didn't support him in 2016. There would have been turncoats within the DNC. His message was far too radical compared to corporate Hillary. She definitely had the best chance to beat Trump at the time even with all her faults at that time.

Furthermore, he was dedicated on running on his ideas and not demonizing Trump like Hillary did which proved vastly effective. The strategy of basically calling him literally Hitler just seems more credible coming out of Hillary's mouth than his even if he would've tried. He couldn't have run a campaign like that. An old white guy trying to do "literally Hitler" just doesn't work even with the woke SJW crowd hence why many of those fake socialists supported Hillary. They even demonized his supporters as "bernie bros."

Not quite sure what you mean by this as he is viewed as more dangerous than Trump by a lot of the Dem establishment. All other candidates take corporate money, they despise Bernie’s crowd funded platform.

He was viewed as crazy to most people out of high-school barring hardcore leftists and now he's viewed much more sanely because all the other people running along him pretty much copied his platform. He shifted the overton window far to the left within the DNC.

I will never understand how anyone (evangelicals included) ever fell for the ruse that Trump stood for conservative values. The guy fucked a porn star whilst his wife was with newborn child ffs, what did you expect him to do about degeneracy?

I don't care about him fucking pornstars or anything, but I expected him to make drag queen story hour and transgender youth a bigger deal yeah. I didn't think he was okay with that. Obviously, he'll say from time to time about it, but his focus is clearly on other areas. I'm not some hardcore social conservative or anything. Most people in the country secretly agree that it's wrong as fuck.
