Brutal This Russian game artist created this very realistic war zone cinematic video in Unreal Engine.

overdramatized, little to do with reality

Not really.

This was caught up close during the battle of Bakhmut:

that's the difference, nobody is running in groups like fools, they take cover.
They have BMP's and BTR's to transfer troops, however those still get killed because the armor is quite weak.

I've seen footage of meat waves without any protection going from building to building.

Remember the push into Kursk? That was a big waste of lives and resources for essentially a small victory while they diverted resources from Donestk which territory was still being lost to Russia.

Yeah, it was Zelensky’s final attempt to convince the West that Ukraine was still capable of going on the offensive and that the war wasn’t a lost cause.

Did he succeed? Well getting more deliveries to continue the war but other than that, huge waste really. I guess it was more political to show that Ukraine is still capable of fighting back even though this offensive didn't achieve anything strategically.

Total waste of manpower and Western military aid.

Zelensky admitted that they can no longer go on the offensive due to heavy loss of soldiers. Kursk was strategically a waste of resources. It was never going to succeed. It failed to draw Russian troops out of the Pokrovsk salient in the Donbass where Russia has been gaining ground towards Dnipro oblast.

Ukraine basically did what the Germans did 80 years ago, and was defeated just how they were especially considering they had a literal armored spearhead leading the assault against Russian Conscripts before they could bring more reinforcements.

Which is why Ukrainians were making quick gains in the beginning before the Kursk frontlines stabilized by the arrival of Russian reinforcements. Once that happened, the gains became sporadic and there was no way for Ukrainians to turn the tide. They tried this again in Belgorod but were promptly crushed without being able to make any proper incursions.

Yeah, so the whole 7 month campaign was a waste since they had no strategic goal in there aside from a political one.

I've noticed that Ukrainians fight very emotionally for PR and media rather than to win.

Blyat, better drink more vodka to make computer-game reality!
