Yeah but what that top 20% is differs from population to population and time to time. Social media and improvements in transportation has expanded the dating market for women, making us compete with top tier men we would've never had to encounter or match up to. Also, times have changed; the top 20% of today would be the top 10% or top 5% of past generations because of accumulated wealth and accumulated genetics, but during this time if your bloodline was unable to build up its genetics and wealth and lagged behind, the competition that you're facing is stiffer, where the gap between you and the top 20% feels like a gap between you and the top 5%.
