Now to your first picture. I would say that a personality develops and grows by interacting with other people. Through trial and error you learn what is appropriate to say, what is funny and how to entertain your partner in a conversation. Unattractive people are not given a chance and thus don't develop a good personality, whereas attractive people are given a chance and are involved in conversations far more often than ugly people and thus blossom socially.
