Yeah that was a big selling point of the PS2. Us losers back in the day were like, 'Wtf, it can play DVDs?' And then, other loser friends provided confirmation by saying something like, 'Yes, my nigger, it most certainly can.'

at the time it was cheaper than an actual dvd player which was $500-1000 lol

Oh yeah. It was a real win-win back then. It's just a shame the PS5 is such a rip-off. And I doubt it can even play DVDs lol.
