Becasue they, or we as well (I know I was) were raised by our parents with a different mindset.
Before you had strict values and rules to adhere to, you find a girl, fall in love, marry, get children, yadda yadda.
And that worked for the past couple generations so you were raised with that mindset, this is how life is supposed to be.
TV and Disney help to further cement the belief of how the world is supposed to work.
But then technology came and everything changed (kinda).
With the advent of mass internet and easy to use hook up apps and sites, thew whole dynamic on how to find a partner changed.
No LTRs anymore, just quick fucks with the best you can get and then move on to the next guy/girl.
Something you and everyone else that was raised that way had no idea on how to work with.
I mean, that shit goes against everything that you've been taught.
Naturally those who could easier adapt to it, took massive advantage out of it, the Chads and every female, since they also got of scot free by doing it because every girl started to do it.
Everyone esle was left behind, scratching their dick as to why they can't find anyone willing to commit to them, or even hook up for a quick fuck, becasue we were never given the tools for it.
Whereas everyone born before you had the possibility to experience romance and all of the shit that romances tells us, and everyone born after us can whore themselves out without any conflicting moral, we're just stuck as mid 20-40 year old virgins that don't really know how to act, fall into depression and can either hope for something very unlikley to happen, or try to throw away everything we once believed in and join into the new way of life, trying to adjust as much as possible as quickly as possible.
