I've seen it happen time and time again. The human conscious, at least the one of the so called “normies”, does not have any way to argue with any abstract ideas, so they'll resort to pointing out the obvious which is the appearance. You always see it. Whenever you go, whatever media you watch, whatever argument you partake in online. There is no escape to it. And it's really sad, yet also funny when you think about it.
These people pride themselves on being educated, they pride themselves on having average to above average intelligence. They claim they've read all these intellectual books, that their heads have poked through every corner of philosophical literature throughout the entire human history, but despite all of that, they will still point out the appearance before the argument. For a society that claims looks don't matter, it's almost laughable how easily they can weaponize looks against someone, regardless of their actual stance on the matter.
This is why I dropped out of any political debate and stopped associating with any side, both right and left, knowing that neither one of them actually has anything substantial to say beyond making fun of each other's appearances.
Why is x side bad? Why is the Y side bad? Why is XYZ bad? Is it because their ideas are outlandish, nonsensical, and have no use in practice? Is it because their world view is skewed, therefore they do not truly understand how the rest of society works? Is it because they oppose basic morals and principals?
No, of course not.
The primary,and only issue, normies are concerned about is not the message itself but the messenger sprouting it.
Take religion for example. In every iteration and piece of media Jesus Christ is always portrayed as a tall white guy with a beard and long brown hair. Why does Jesus' appearance matter at all? I know they want to know who they're worshipping, but still..
If you think about it, if looks didn't matter why does then Jesus' appearance really mean anything in the grand scheme of things? Shouldn't people worship a man for his teachings and not his looks? Why would it matter that he's white and tall? Why would it matter where he was born? He could've been born anywhere, anytime at any place on this planet and still preach the same teachings, yet people have these drawn out discussions about his appearance.
I honestly believe had Jesus been born a 5’2 brown Indian looking dude, not a single person would've been infatuated with the bible . Even if the bible was written out exactly the same, even if scripture remained 1-1 with our version, nobody would've given a single shit had he been born with a face of the Elephant Man. All Jesus would've become was a local town schizo that scared everyone away turned into a circus freak show. Everyone would've laughed in his face about the miracles and all the crazy shit that happened in the bible before nailing him onto the cross, finally ending his life. In the end his life would've been just another Don Quixote type story of some delusional freak of nature who believed he was a son of God himself and that he could perform miracles before he became a long running joke in both past and present.
That's what I think Jesus could have become had he been born with bad genetics, which is why I somewhat believe he was tall and white as every religion, every movement is always started by some good looking figure with amazing ability to communicate his ideals to the wider public.
All of the revolutionaries, all of the public speakers, all of the grand masters of political movements were barely, if ever, truly sub 5-sub3 looking males. They were usually normie to above average looking dudes with extremely good ability to vocalize their thoughts and opinions onto the stage of public. I often wonder how many people would've had Che Guevara plastered onto their shirts had he been born looking like black ops 2 cel, or how many blacks would've been cheering on the stage as Oreo man gave out his speeches instead of Malcom X or Martin Luther king Jr. It has always occurred to me that normies cared more for the face presenting the movement, rather for the movement itself and what it had to say.
Which brings me to my next point. People use lookism to prove and disprove anyone's political stance.
Do you disagree with somebody's opinion? Well guess what? You're portrayed as always a fat, greasy acne ridden pig(but of course looks don't matter bro!) and I was the perfect, white Aryan Chad with chiseled jawline and face sculpted by the gods themselves. It gets even funnier when leftists do it as they claim to be against the eurocentric beauty standards which are apparently racist and coded in white supremacy, only to make themselves into white Chads in their own memes.

Same goes for any side of any spectrum. Anyone against “us” must be ugly alongside anyone who disagrees with our takes. If you have a wrong opinion, if you say something out of the order or if you simply disagree with someone, everybody's gonna assume because you're genetic waste therefore you're underdeveloped and inferior to them. It doesn't matter what you say. It doesn't matter what evidence you have against them. It literally doesn't even matter if you're talking objective truth.
For people who claim life is not about sex or appearance, they seem to be so deeply obsessed with looks to the point where they automatically assign any “bad” opinion or a value to an ugly person, every single time with no exceptions. It's literally the only thing they care about
For my example I'll use Cyraxx for this . Let's ignore who he is and what he's done and let's focus on his face.
If Cyraxx was a leftist:
“Look at that ugly deformed creature. This is what all leftists look like!!”
If Cyraxx was a right winger:
“Look at this deformed inbred freak. He looks like a pedophile.No wonder why he supports Trump!. All right wingers look like this!”
