That's what happened to me in college. Because of my looks I got accused of some pretty bad stuff (Being a traitor to my people essentially). After some time I gave up and stopped trying to prove them wrong and I'd even do things to piss them off.
They really want you to be the villain because you look ugly.

I have heard accounts of foids fantasizing about impaling a man through the head with a kitchen knife just because she disliked him and the sound of him doing something innocuous like chewing would set her off

I swear man. I look at pictures of when I was a kid, or very early in my teenage years. I was a good fucking person back then. Now? I've become this passive-aggressive self-centered angry and self-loathing asshole who only cares about himself. I wasn't like this back then.
