I actually think that higher populations sizes increases your odds of being incel. You would have better odds of ascending in a world with just 4 million women. There may be plenty of fish in the sea, but that also means you're now competing with more men. A more populous and interconnected world means that we're no longer just competing with the men in our tribe; we're now competing with men across the world. That level of exposure increases your odds of being mogged. It makes women even more aware that they have better options, which only makes them more hypergamous.

Higher population sizes also increase social stratification and societal atomization. Unless you're a Chad, you don't have a realistic chance of attracting women from various creeds and social classes. Many women will refuse to date outgroups, especially if they deem them to be inferior.
