These songs remind me of London

Australia has a Union Jack in it's flag.

Australia always fascinates me because it's on the other side of the world and it's almost like an alien planet. I remember watching a 1970s Australian movie about a runaway dog. Just seeing another Anglo (Commonwealth) country I never been to.

Also, Sydney was where they filmed the Matrix.

Yes, the flag was made when most Australians were very loyal to Britain.

You should visit Australia some time if it fascinates you. If you are comfortable enough I can show you around.

Yes, Matrix was filmed in Sydney. The fountain where Neo saw the foid in the red dress is right next to my office.

I guess now they want to distance themselves from them and become a republic. I kinda agree that having the flag of another country in an independent country's flag doesn't make sense. But because of it, Australia feels like a second Britain to me.

What do you think of the songs I posted, btw? Do they remind you of the British?

There are things similar to Britain but there are a lot of differences as well. Australia exclusively uses the metric system, not that into soccer, has a lot more Asians and is influenced by burgerland a lot more.

Not really, Kanye and Rihanna aren’t British. The Kanye song reminds me of when my sister first got an iPod, that song was popular and the Rihanna song reminds me of when I was in uni and slutty foids really liked that song.

Also, white Australians have a more unified identity much like Americans instead of being divided into different countries like the UK, and that most Australians live around the coast.

Australia still seems more British than American to me. Whereas "Canada" is basically America had it stayed a British colony.

I'm not talking about the artists, moreso the melody and instruments used in the songs. Reminds me of Reebok sneakers and Union Jacks and foids shopping at London makeup stores.

What about this one?

The whites don’t really have an identity other than the racist ones. I would say Australia is halfway between US and UK. Historically Britbong but a lot more influenced by burgers more.

yeah that song reminds me of britbongs more but probably more Birmingham or Yorkshire

Do you think Australia will become a republic soon now that the Queen is dead?

And yeah, I can see how Australia is like the US, since it's a pretty big country with an east coast and west coast separated by a large desert yet still maintain the same national identity.

I see.

They closest I get that feeling in NYC is when I go to Fordham Road in the Bronx, since there are lots of buses and department stores there along a wide boulevard called the Grand Concourse. There's even a building with a clocktower there.

This is a pretty London song, tbh.

I'm a mixed race Latino, but yeah. Don't like modern rap too much but the classics are definitely bangers.
yeah all modern rap is is Nicki Minaj shaking her ass for money for cucks no one likes

I love old rap too

Well, we're kinda past Nikki Minaj nowadays it's rappers like Cardi B and Little Fag X. I don't listen to that crap.

Yep. Mobb Deep, DMX, old Kanye West, ATCQ, Das EFX, Fat Joe, Biggie Smalls and 2Pac are where it's at.

yeah obv you gotta be triple digit IQ to understand the hardcore shit and just how energetic and uplifting rap is

Yep. It's none of the same trap beats all over again that zoomers like to listen to. Old rap definitely had a lot more poetry to it too and they used good samples.

I was always in the alternative scene so London for me is... mostly about Camden, lol

Although I used to go and see a lot of bands there too, mostly punk and rock.

Also RIP Sega World '-'

Apparently the violent crime has increased a lot over the years. It seems to have in many parts of the UK.

Mass immigration has this effect I think.

Overall London is fun though yeah although there are probably lots of areas I used to go that these days it's better to avoid!

I mean, I kind of thought those songs would be playing in a lot of places?

Hmmmmm songs that remind me of London! The first band that springs to mind for me is Rancid because of their songs like Red Hot Moon (not sure if that's actually about London though), Ruby Soho and Tropical London.

I think the '60s and '70s seem to have lots of great rock/punk from London like The Who and the Sex Pistols. Before my time, but still!

The keyboard synth used in the beginning of the Rihanna song and the chorus reminds me of being in a modern and cosmopolitan city square. Kinda like London or Times Square or Fordham Road.

Yeah, bands like the Beatles and ELO are also British but they're more like London in the '60s and '70s, not like modern London in the early 21st century.

True. I wonder what the main differences are.

I guess it's hard for me to say what mainstream London was ever really like as I was always in the alternative circles. My knowledge of mainstream London was mostly fighting my way through busy train stations or the Tube to get from A to B!

Keep in mind, I've never been to London. I live in the US. It's just the music that makes me feel how London would feel like.

The Tube is definitely a big thing, same as the red double decker buses, those old red phone boxes, the Union Jack and the accents.

Though, I do listen to UK garage but that's more in the '90s. Grime and drill music are probably more in the black and Paki areas of London.

yes diverse London :o

Would you like to visit it?

I've never been to the US but I've often thought it would be cool to visit New York City :D

I've though about it yeah. I think having a traditional monarchy and some of the older buildings juxtaposes the cosmopolitan and modern feel of the city and the skyscrapers.

Been to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan many times. I do like the feel of leaving the subway and walking out into a crowded street full of tall buildings to look up to.

It reminds me of Segaworld which used to be in Sydney but it closed down..
I remember the Toys R Us that used to be in Times Square. Used to go there a lot as a kid and I would be amazed about how big it is with the indoor ferris wheel.

I would like to go to Duncan's Toy Chest in Home Alone 2 in NYC if it is real.

@Copexodius Maximus @BornToLose @Wizard32 what do you think?
