Think about it
When one person pities another, how often is it that the pity is acted on? People will claim to "feel sorry" for the terminally ill, the homeless, the handicapped, et cetera, but hardly anybody donates to charity. Not that it matters, because the top administrators take the lion's share of the donation money to buy themselves private jets while calling it "administrative costs".
In the vast majority of cases, empathy seems to trigger only when it's a "friend" or "loved one" in bad straits, and only when helping that person is at least of indirect perceived benefit to the person giving the help. For example, someone might give money to a street beggar to show her friends how generous she is, even if she's aware on a conscious level that her friends aren't around, because that virtue signaling reflex is still there. It may also be simple egotism; virtue signaling to herself.
You don't have to look far to see that foids and Chads are empathized with far more than incels. Because foids want to fuck Chad, and beta males want to be Chad. Nobody cares if a genetically inferior male suffers because he's useless. Even if he could theoretically become useful were he pulled out of whatever rut he's in, even the tiniest contribution is too much effort. In fiction, genetically inferior men are abused and beaten for comedy.
Empathy is weakness; nature deplores weakness. Even if empathy is real, it's very selective and biased towards the person feeling it. To be apathetic, selfish, cowardly, and violent is the human default, and people can only be virtuous when they are socialized into it.
Be very careful if someone acts empathetic towards you. Chances are it's an act.
