You won’t find any incels saying that coping is a bad thing. With how fucked we all are, we all need some kind of cope to keep ourselves sane.

The difference lies in healthy and unhealthy copes. His cope of “working on himself” is unhealthy because he’s wasting his life while waiting for it to start (it never will, but he won’t realize until it’s too late). He’s slaving away to benefit people who hate him, and he’ll be very lucky if he even gets the 35 year old roastie he was promised.
