He showed a study in which the authors said that they started the study SPECIFICALLY TO TRY TO PROVE THAT PERSONALITY > LOOKS. After years of trying different experiments, different samples of people, trying to fraud the results (very unscientific) they finally released their study and admitted looks are everything that matters. (a large part of their abstract was them explaining that)
No matter how much they tried, looks overpowered everything. The only time personality mattered was when someone found 2 people equally attractive, only then personality seemed to play a role in deciding who they picked.
