It’s the horn effect. The opposite of the halo effect. You’re automatically the bad guy. You’re automatically lazy, stupid, incompetent, manipulative, or whatever else they say about you. You can do whatever you want, say whatever you want, nobody cares, or listens to you, they already made their minds up. No matter how much you explain yourself, it’s like talking to a brick wall. It’s like you’re not even a human. If you do a good deed, you’re being manipulative, or you’re doing it for your own benefit. On the other hand, attractive people are good by default. They could literally sit there doing nothing, and people will love them and see them as heroes. They’re the perfect angels. Even if they’re assholes people will give them the benefit of the doubt. If you’re ugly, you’re a dirty dangerous rapist scumbag until proven otherwise. And good luck proving otherwise.

I have noticed this. Chads and toilets get infinite chances to redeem themselves. Infinite chances to show why they are charismatic, funny, and to be respected. Even if they are the biggest assholes, people always want to be around them.
Not us.
