He spawns bombs directly behind you infinitely throughout the whole boss fight. The bombs give you no warning that they just spawned at your feet and are unviewable when aiming down sights. When the bombs explode within vicinity, they give you "root rot" which interrupts your game every ten seconds with a coughing animation that can only be exited through dodge rolling

On top of that, he spawns infinite enemies at about 4 or 5 at a time. Killing these enemies does nothing except spawn them back immediately.

He spawns artillery strikes on your position every so often. If you run out of stamina and can't dodge them because you used your stamina to dodge all of his minions and root rot animations, then you're fucked and die.

The boss itself is a reused basic enemy type that also teleports all across the large arena, and you rarely see him. Boss fight lasts too fucking long because of this.

Westerners have never managed to created good, balanced, well designed, memorable and fun to fight boss encounters. Their philosophy is always more = good. Instead of making main attraction the actual boss with their own unique attack patterns they rely on cheap tricks like endless enemy spawns or aoe attacks to distract your brain from dogshit game design and lacks of boss animations or different attacks patterns, you always need to slog through them.
 
Yeah just sounds tedious and annoying. Hate shit like this in video games. It isn't "hard" it's just fucking annoying. Stop it.

Yeah, at least Remnant 2 is way better with boss design. This was a midware game and had a very low budget at the time. I'm just shocked they thought this was ok. I can think of a million ways to make it better despite their low budget. Seems like they were so focused on making it hard they forgot it isn't even fun.
