yeah, it is hard. the bulk of it is the 26 freeze dried meals (26 meals). then the two coffee cans at the back each containing 2 kg of rice in mylar bags (8 meas). then the 4 packs of pasta (12 meals), canned soups (6 meals), front bag of rice (8 meals) and the tuna and other shit gives another (6 meals)
I have lived off this exact shit for the month, and ate the same quantity of crap to test it. and it is enough for me. for anyone else, I'd suggest tripling the number of canned soups and doubling the pasta/rice.

the scissors are made in australia by Platatac. u can pick up trauma shears from pakistan/china on ebay for like AUD$15. they are just as good.

i agree. but u must consider the availability of freezer space and ability to cook them. fridges no longer once the electric system goes down. and while I have a small cooler that I can rig to a car battery and boost with a portable solar system, it is impracticable to even use as space is limited. even with solar recharge, and covering it with a thermal heat shield to keep it cool, it will drain a battery in a day.

again, there is the cooking problem. I looked into setting up a 12 volt oven so i can cook tendies n that shit but power was a problem. powering the lights, computer, and keeping the fridge/sat phone/ham radios charged at the same time is very difficult even with the top of the line solar system i have set up at my cabin. more electrics will just fuck it and drain the batteries. if it cannot be cooked on a portable gas or butane cooker, or a wood fired stove, then forget it.

I envy you. Where I live you need a license to own a water gun. But I plan on buying a crossbow and training myself. Maybe one of those slingshots with firearm grips too.

i'm in australia and gun laws are shit here, but it is very easy to get a firearms license. u just need a verifiable history to justify owning one.

go along to a few open days at ur local gun club, shoot a few times, ask about joining the club/getting involved, and go from there. that is what i did.
