In the Christian type religions this world doesn't matter as you only spend one life here, and then go to other universe which is the 'true' reality(even though all Christians vehemently deny the possibility that this is a simulated universe), and in that Heaven universe they stay for eternity. It turns out this world was just a test in their religion, and this world doesn't make any difference because they are only here for some years, and never go back again, but in another universe for eternity. They also have a further cope saying that everyone is nothing compared to God. They have changed Christianity now so that no one goes to Hell, everybody even serial killers goes to Heaven. So you can do whatever you want and you still get to go to Heaven.
The soy atheists have another religious belief they say this is the one real world, there isn't any other universes not even 1 Heaven universe. And in their belief nothing in this world makes the slightest difference and nothing they do makes any difference because 'you only live once' (YOLO), then you are completely gone forever. So what does anything you did or didn't do, or the way the world went mean to you, if you are dead and gone forever.. nothing. Some try to cope and say that the one thing that matters is having children in this universe, because then the genetics would live on for some amount of time afterwards. But this is still cope because what difference does it make to you if you are gone forever after you die with no consciousness or anything. The atheists also know with certainty that this world isn't a simulated universe, they know this is the one real world.
So you can see the two beliefs systems share much more than they would like to admit. The fundamental idea is that it doesn't matter if someone is better than you by arguing the nihilism that nothing matters, and you can do whatever you want as it makes no difference to you, you will be gone from this world and never coming back.
You look back at retarded normies in my ancestry in Scotland, Ireland and England. And I wonder why would normies be so stupid to cut down all the forests in Scotland and Ireland. Like didn't they understand that cutting down 100% of the trees is a horrible idea on multiple levels. Its through this dogma of being gone from there before long and never coming back that they justified this to themselves.
