There is no reason that the people should have to pay for faster shipping.

The companies are more than capable of delivering every package in a short time.

The deliberately slow down the delivery if you don’t pay for faster shipping.

They are pretty good at manipulating the shipping to make it appear legit.

But, if you pay close attention to the shipment tracking, you can occasionally catch them.

Right now, I’ve had a package sitting only 5 miles from my apartment.

They are not delivering it for 3 days.

Why?

Because I did not pay their extortion money for faster shipping.

Agreed. I often get stuff on eBay with UPS Ground and they purposely slow it way down. I waited 4 days for the hard drive I bought to travel 50 miles, and it traveled 3000 miles in 2 days.

Nope, depending on the express service type the company may buy a airline ticket for the package and also might de prioritize existing packages in the plane where they might have to take a later flight/truck because weight limits. This is all extra money

Companies like Fed Ex and UPS have their own planes.

One of my jobs was security at an airport.
I personally saw these planes.

They do not buy tickets on some airline for their packages.

Also, I have never seen any package held up at that airport facility.

The problem is when the packages are in the delivery by truck stage.
