Every time I hear my parents reminisce about the 80s, it sounds so surreal, like it was from some sort of alternate universe. So sugarcoated, but rightfully so. I'd love to hear the experiences that oldcels had in the 80s. Coming from every individual who I met who was alive during that decade, it seemed like a wonderful point in time, in their words.
The days where you can marry your high school sweetheart, have relationships with JBs as a 20+ year old (fucking Jerry Seinfeld did it and was not criticized), pick up girls at the mall to make out with at the drive in later, actually be able to talk to people, are now over because of social media and hypergamy. Chad can still do those things, but if you aren't born a male model, you're asking to be #MeToo'd if you even try with a girl (besides the social interaction part, you just need to find someone to talk to, which is rare). Back then, if you weren't extremely facially deformed, it was possible to get a girl. Times that good are part of the reason why Boomers/Gen Xs still hold shitty, bluepilled platitudes.
Look then, and look now -- look at all this bullshit that 9/11, Bush, and Obama created. War on Terror. Unholy technology. Privacy interference. Progressive shithole. Extreme hypergamy. Most games made past the year 2003 are dogshit. Holy shit, has the world changed for worse. I feel sorry for every other zoomer who doesn't have some sort of distant nostalgia for a time they never experienced. I have that distant and autistic nostalgia for the 80s, but hey, literally every point in time before 9/11/2001 would be quite a good period in time to live in.
