Determinism is the philosophical view that all events in the universe, including human actions and decisions, are causally inevitable and can occur only in one possible way. This means that if one knew the complete physical state of the universe at any given moment, along with the laws of nature, one could predict all future events.
Yes, determinism can be applied to a person. In this context, it suggests that an individual's thoughts, feelings, choices, and actions are all the result of prior causes—such as genetics, brain chemistry, upbringing, environment, and past experiences.
  • Biological influences like genetics can predispose someone to certain traits or behaviors."
Twin studies, adoption studies, and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have shown that:

  • Genetics can account for roughly 40-60% of the variation in many personality traits.
  • The remaining variation is influenced by environmental factors, experiences, upbringing, and social context.
I do not believe we have free will.

Sometimes I feel like no matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, I'll still nevertheless end up like my dad. Scary shit to think about

Here's an example from a deterministic perspective, ER's actions were not done initially because he wanted to but caused by the chain of prior causes, inflicted upon upon him by the normies, genetics play into determinism as ER had no free will and the chain of reactions were inevitable since he was born a ricecel in a western environment.

And from Chad's perspective his life is on easy mode from determinism playing into genetics he will be determined to live a good life.

So when we mention things such as "Women do not like me" or "women do not find me attractive" these are foreign concepts to chad as he cannot fathom what loneliness or rejection is like or what is it like to feel ostracized and belittled, so he must assume we are doing something wrong.

So Chad will see from a very privileged perspective that is unable to imagine ours.

So he will say things like "Just go outside" or "just be Ur self..

We are like computers, think about it like computers then it'll be easier to comprehend. It's over.

But I guess at this point it's no longer become a theory as we've all had the same experiences in life, we are the losers from determinism, Chad, Stacy and normies are the winners from determinism.

I would like to believe that humans have a free will but it seems more like wishful thinking.
