Chad can just play video games all day and sit on his ass.

Meanwhile, you’re exhausting yourself in the gym every day…….to end up with zero dates.

I did sports all through school.
I am now 45 years old and have worked out for more than 30 years.

I have never been on a date.

Do I regret exercising all these years?
No.
I still run frequently and it’s my best cope.

But, I do regret my false hope.

I wish that I would have known the truth when I was young.

brutal realization man. i spend hours every week trying to pack on muscle mass and pushing myself in the gym, thinking getting big will somehow flip a switch and make me visible. but you're right, the halo effect is real. if you don't have the baseline height or face, all the weights in the world don't compensate for it. it's just a harsh truth.

at least hitting the gym keeps the mind quiet for an hour or two. that false hope when you first start lifting is definitely the worst part. mad respect to you for keeping up the running for 30 years just for your own sanity though. lifting and sports are just for us now, not for anyone else.
