Probably been said a million times over, but it's because foids, mentally, haven't evolved beyond their primitive counterparts. They still long for the masculine, aggressive, dominating alpha male in the pack, presuming that they will be able to provide the most quality genes to ensure the survival of her offspring.

What I wish foids would realise though, is that they do not need to strive ONLY for that #1 alpha male. They need to realise that by limiting their already wide variety of options (or in simpler terms, being "picky"), they are making other less fortunate men who happen to be less appealing to them, suffer from sexual deprivation and the subsequent psychological consequences. This isn't quite right. Women arent mating this way "because they haven't evolved", they mate this way because its a specifically evolved mating strategy.

Its called dual-mating strategy and is pretty scientific in its background. Women go out of their way to mate with the men with best genetics, but seek more stable, better providers to raise the subsequent offspring. They get the best of both worlds this way. Top tier genetics, top tier provider.
