Not that men are more trustworthy. But I'm talking about relationships. People preach about love and all that jazz, and yet there's no real and unending trust, there's no real and deep caring about each other.
Even in a loving relationship you have to pretend, you have to censor yourself, you have to keep things away from each other lest you scare them off or creep them out. Say or do one wrong thing and that so-called love is gone like it never happened, it can do a 180 in mere moments like when you lose your job and a week later the woman mysteriously doesn't love you anymore for some unrelated reason.
And nowadays even marriage doesn't solve that. It used to be that marriage was for life. You knew that once you were married that was it, this was your partner for the rest of your life so you'd better trust and love each other with everything you've got, cause you can't divorce and start again. Nowadays you have to pretend and hide yourself even from your spouse, can you know that divorce is a possibility and she'll use anything she learned about you to destroy you during and after the divorce.
I'd try a million times harder to get a relationship if it meant true love, true living for each other, caring deeply, trusting with everything. For life. But that's just a fantasy (except for Chad).
