There are only two things preventing our descent as a society into complete and utter depravity:

1. An all-pervasive security and surveillance state

And

2. A functioning economy

When both of those things disappear, I think it will be a fast slide into never-before-seen levels of depravity.

We've become so culturally, morally, and spiritually debased that there can be no other outcome.

Street fights are already breaking out between politics copers tbh and the coronavirus wrecked the economy.
The pervasive security and surveillance state largely enforced by encouraging civilian voyeurism is what is keeping a lot of people "in check" imo.

As long as you can still use the dollars in your pocket to buy things, as long as the stores have stocked shelves, as long as the supply lines are still functional, the economy is not "wrecked."

Relatively speaking compared to 2019 it seems wrecked.
Of course it could be a lot worse but the point is its worse than it was a few years ago.

idk bro, supply chains are getting weaker.

Yes, it's apparent that the "Good ol' Days" of 2019 are never coming back.

However, so long as people are getting their Covid checks deposited in their bank accounts, and those checks are able to buy things, and so long as the Central Banks and governments still have the ability to keep asset bubbles inflated, things have not truly gotten bad.

And things were just starting to recover from the 2007 crash by that time or at least that's what it felt like.

I've heard this talk again and again throughout early and mid 2010s about never really happened. And tbh even in a collapse outcome incels will lose out.

2020s will be the decade where it all collapses. Collapse is unavoidable for 2 reasons:

- Energy and resource depletion
-Obscene debt levels

You say that incels will lose out in a collapse scenario... well what the hell have we got to lose anyway?

Maybe. I think it's the 2030s where things are predicted to get collapse levels of bad though. Check out the predictions on futuretimeline.net. There's a lot of indications that the 2020s are just the start of a tumultuous series of decades to come.

A lot tbh
Daily copes, good and tasty food, relatively stable living conditions.
Trust me a collapse scenario might seem like the reset that is needed but it's a false promise.
Coronavirus was like the precursors to a collapse in a way and things have only gotten worse and more dismal.

Here's my timeline:
Early 2020s- things get bad
Mid 2020s- things get extremely bad
Late 2020s, 2030s and beyond- world is unrecognizable
2050-2060- Global population crashes to less than 3B

Remember, the road to prosperity is long and slow. The road to ruin is short and fast.

You're ignoring the fact that those copes are only necessary to fill the hole created by abandoning our traditions. The way we're living now, completely unmoored from family, community, religion, and tradition, is really a horrible way to live. In 100-200 years, people will look back on the modern world and view it as ultimate evil.

I agree that Covid is just a 'precursor.'
Compared to what's to come, Covid is like Disneyland.

I think they'll be more bioterrorism type threats and engineered diseases in the next few decades but I think it's in the 2030s when things will start getting very uncertain and dangerous.

2050-2060- Global population crashes to less than 3B
If that happens it won't be depopulation programs (which I see no signs of, just the opposite infact) but warfare and starvation.

Already projections for global population have been revised downward to peak in mid century

This is probably in the absence of such shocks like warfare and starvation and civil unrest from long periods of unemployment. None of the outlooks from now to the mid 21st century have seemed optimistic but there are always surprises.

If you ever read the Misandry Bubble you'll know how so many of the predictions failed to become reality and that people could not have anticipated the rise of things like onlyfans and female social media influencers that get money for existing even though many of them are average looking women.
The future as always has more surprises like this in store.

Remember, the road to prosperity is long and slow. The road to ruin is short and fast.
Society doesn't feel like it's been on the road to prosperity in western countries since the turn of the 21st century. There's been many short lived episodes where the consensus has been that the road to ruin is close but it ended up being a false alarm and not global in extent.
Really it's unpredictable. It's just that with current trends the majority of the predictions right now for the near future into the mid 21st century are negative.

I disagree. There have never been more freely available copes for the average sexless male than today.

I view the collapse as happening due to the global techno-industrial civilization simply collapsing under the weight of its own hyper-complexities. The longer it takes for the collapse to happen, the more agonizing and horrific it will be, so it's better that it happens sooner rather than later.

Also, there has never been a worse society for sexless males- unrestrained female whoredom, female hypersexuality, the perceived value of the female in the stratosphere while the perceived value of the man is in the basement... Meanwhile we can't get so much as a hug from a foid and prostitution is strictly illegal/obscenely expensive for the quality of service you get.

People said the same about the financial crises expected to occur after the Great Recession. Instead those crisises never arose and the same mistakes from the last crisis are still being repeated today.
This is a pretty complex topic that I don't know too much about besides reading into the various predictions.
If there is one thing that failed predictions of the future prove it's that predicting what will happen in the future is a crapshoot. No one really knows how it will all unfold past a few months or years.

I agree that socially things have never been worse but the advancement and variety of copes available to escape from that reality has never been better imo.
It about evens out.
That and there's the option to connect and communicate with like minded people so you don't feel alone and isolated by the world.

Were this still the 90s and copes like the internet and video games hadn't matured enough yet, a lot of us would be miserable to the brink of suicide far more regularly than today.

If you want to accurately predict the future of the economy, look at the substance that basically runs the entire global economy and financial system: oil.
Is the global oil industry prospering, or are they being gutted from within due to the problems arising from oil depletion? The only thing that pulled us out of the last crisis was US shale oil. That won't happen again.

Collapse happens in two stages: slowly, then all at once.

As for things being overall worse for incels in the recent past, I'm not sure I agree. I'm not an oldcel yet, but I'm old enough to remember the late 90s and early 2000s. Society in 2020 is significantly worse in every regard.

Again I don't know too much myself because these things are really complex.
But I haven't heard of concerns about peak oil for years now. It was something that in the mid 2000s was anticipated to occur around this time yet the timeline for peak oil keeps getting pushed back.
There are still more and more oil reserves being found even though for now hydraulic fracturing methods may not have advanced a lot since their last leap in efficiency.

I agree socially things are worse than ever but the more advanced copes still slightly balance it out.
It would be better if there were more moneymaxxing opportunities and being self employed but that's getting harder and harder to do with the increasing importance of networking. Which is ironically enough an NT trait in increasing demand in a society where more and more of the younger generation has higher rates of autism.

We're currently burning 5-10 barrels of oil for every one discovered... It should be obvious why that's not sustainable. And the oil we are discovering is increasingly harder and more expensive to extract, refine, and transport. We reached global peak conventional oil in 2005-2006. Do you think it's a coincidence that the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression happened soon after? We've reached the end of the cheap oil era, now we're in the expensive oil era. And we don't need to run out of oil to see the collapse- if it takes a barrel of oil equivalent energy to extract, refine, and transport a barrel of oil, then that barrel of oil is effectively worthless as an energy source.

As for the copes, they can only do so much to ease the pain of rotting in complete isolation and sexlessness. For me, the copes are wearing thin.
Movies- all suck.
Video games- don't care about those
Internet porn- degenerate filth, and only aggravates the pain of being incel in the long run.
Internet in general- online shopping is highly convenient, and the internet has allowed me to find great music that I never would have found otherwise. However, the internet is an incredibly cucked and censored place compared to even just 10 years ago.
TV- don't watch TV/Netflix.
Food- I eat very simply as a practice.

So really, what have I got to lose from the 'collapse?'

I haven't heard of peak oil for some time or any concerns about this so all of what you are referring to sounds pretty unrelatable to be.
You may be right but right now gas prices are still lower than they were during the late 2000s and there's no major news I've seen of how the world is running out of cheap oil.

Copes do wear thin. But you can always find new copes and still have many to choose from compared to the 90s.
Browsing the internet for example is a big cope that you can spend countless hours on and not get bored with.

Peak oil has completely fallen off the radar, even though it has not gone away, and is still very much with us. The fact that we're going after shale, deep sea, and tar sand oil should be proof that the cheap stuff is running out. Those forms of oil are very resource, capital, and energy intensive to extract, refine, and transport.

I really think the internet is the biggest time sink in history. We would all be overall much better off without it.

True but it has indeed fallen completely off the radar and it's pretty strange. Perhaps a lot of media confidence in the 2010s was built on the assumption that shale oil reserves could continue indefinitely and throw a wrench in the previously acclaimed notion of peak oil. It certainly makes for a good curveball story and a way to generate controversy.

I really think the internet is the biggest time sink in history. We would all be overall much better off without it.
The internet is a big time sink but that's why it's so effective as a cope. Without the internet most of us would still be incel and women would still not be interested in us.
