Nah, "pleasure" is a badly defined term. It combines things like the taste of Dr Pepper, the satisfaction of having received a compliment and being held tight by a loved one all into one category. THE POINT OF LIFE IS PLEASURE is too indiscriminate in what it assigns the same level of importance too. Also fails to explain why you can spend every day playing games and jerking off and feel completely empty and dead inside. Isn't all your time spend with pleasure, how could you not be happy?

I think a better starting point for a model would be "needs & wants". Wants are bottomless, you can play and play and play and consume forever and it never really reaches its end, where the goal is reached. Needs on the other hand have much more clear win conditions. You are hungry, you eat until you are full. Modern society fulfills most needs for most people baseline, which has the downside that you are left without the much more meaningful, intense kind of happiness that comes from satisfying a need instead of a want. And the upside that you aren't at risk of starving to death.

And the one class of needs that remains relevant for many people are social needs like recognition, climbing the social hierarchy, finding friends and a partner. And those are often zero-sum. Not everyone can be at the top of the groups social structure, not everyone can be special or a winner, and every partner one man finds is gone from the pool of potential partners for everyone else. Assuming partner means long-term bonding and assuming you also consider polyamorous relations as humiliating, basic-human-nature-denying torture devices for at least some of the people involved in most cases.
