I've just watched this film for the first time after hearing so much about it for years.

Atmospherically, it's good. It's hard to do a cartoon Halloween/dark fantasy style bad since it's either cosy or charming to some degree. The nightmare before Christmas is more on the charming side. The characters are entertaining to watch with cool, typical Halloween type designs.

The music is good, you can see where most Halloween themed media gets its influence. The mix of Christmas and Halloween music makes a lovely range of variation.

The animation is beautiful and full of expression and emotion. The stop motion makes this movie timeless in its visuals.

Overall, it's a good film.

Now why foids love it. Simply because the main character is the tallest guy in the film and has a woman orbiting him who thinks she knows what's best for him. Foids love to pretend that they're the "rebellious" (a.k.a. Chad obsessed) average looking Frankensteins monster lady. It's a brutal heightpill.

Overall good film but the message is spoiled through the heightpill.

My brother had that on yesterday weird that it gets mentioned on here today.
