It's not the first time I'm watching it. I watched it a couple of times before when I was younger and I liked it. It's a funny whacky guy getting into cartoonish hijinks, right? It's funny.

But this is an incel movie if you view it through a blackpill lense.

The protagonist is a failed normie nice guy. He has no success with women. No one respects him, he is a joke. His boss yells at him and threatens him. He is powerless. He is a subhuman.

Then he finds the Mask and it is essentially a power fantasy. With the Mask on, he becomes the person he wishes he was. He is brave, he gets the confidence to approach Cameron Diaz stacy, he knows how to dance, he is a cool guy, he can do anything and no one can mess with him.

He has the same desires like me. The same problems as me.

I cried because he puts on the Mask, he is just like I've always been fantasizing. I've always dreamed about being a cool guy who can impress women with my dance moves. I don't know how to dance. I'm an ugly subhuman KHHV. I've been daydreaming my entire life of the things Jim Carrey does while he has the Mask on.

Now of course, the movie can't go full blackpill. The bullshit message lesson is that ''ackshually, the Cameron Diaz stacy was in love with the subhuman Jim Carrey WITHOUT the Mask all along :soy::soy::foidSoy::foidSoy:'' Yeah, right... :feelsseriously:

Still, it's a great incel movie. Have you seen The Mask? What did you think?

One of the best Jim Carrey movies imo.

It's hard not to like the character. The dude gets the ultimate power fantasy, and he gets to become who he always wanted to be.

It's the ultimate lifefuel movie :feelscomfy:

Also Cameron diaz :feelsohh::feelsEhh::ha..feels:

yeah, it always had an edgy formula at its core, it's because comic books were always more edgy, see teenage mutant ninja turtles for example.
it's impressive because thie formula was not distilled very much in the movie or even in the cartoon series, the mask still turns stanley from loser to hero in the cartoon, it's part of what made it one of the most interesting cartoons back then.

i watched the movie and the cartoon back in the late 90s or so and loved this stuff. i wrote "SSSSMOKIN" in my school notebook once and my mom got mad and thought it meant i wanted to smoke cigarettes.

Been a while since i seen it

It's an enjoyable film.

I grew up on the cartoon as well! Loved that show. The Skillit episode was always my favorite. He would take people's shadows. Pretty dark at the time, kind of creeped me out.

I liked it. I even liked Mask 2 but I was like 9 when I last watched it. I should probably rewatch both parts.

I assume stupid shit like that is added to get foids to get tickets. If you also ignore the impossible romance from the movie Truman Show that feels pretty relatable too. Jim Carrey has zero real friends and his entire life is set up to be a show for others to laugh at.

Foids love shit like this, it makes it seem like they are not shallow and superficial.

Great film. One of the few that brings smiles and laughter to me.

"The bullshit message lesson is that ''ackshually, the Cameron Diaz stacy was in love with the subhuman Jim Carrey WITHOUT the Mask all along"

As I see it, the message is that Jim Carrey needed to integrate more Loki/Dionysian energy into his psyche in order to get the girl, which he gradually does over the course of the film (she regards him as a sweet, passive buffoon at the start). The Mask changes his personality (more confident, assertive, less inhibited) and in the end he doesn't need it anymore. It's a "whitepilled" film in that it suggests that ascension is possible if you go through transformative experiences. However, young Jim Carrey was good-looking:

might you be the first person to use Nietzsche’s Apollonian and Dionysian dualities to fucking The Mask starring Jim Carrey
