The Legend of Zelda BREATH OF THE WILD (tloz botw) best music thread. BOTW ONLY

For those that have never played, they make good background music that is supposed to not be payed attention to 24/7. This open world single player experience is a premium feeling, isolating and lowkey therapeutic game. Hard at first, but some argue that your character (Link) becomes OP has he progresses. Wish I had a switch (and a wii u when I was younger. I only had a used xbox 360 with 1 old used game and no online connectivity). I only watched the game after playing the demo. A comment that best describes the game experience for me is “I felt like I was living in the wilderness after playing nonstop.” Imagine being a neet with botw, and playing this game from dawn to dusk until you complete it . Like what someone else recently made a thread about, nintendo is good at creating fantasy games that offer immersive escapism.

Remember, this game took like 6 years of development, with DLC, even more. And it’s from a company that’s known for putting effort into their game’s music. Zelda especially. So of course their best music list is relatively long (imo at least).

Yup it's me

I couldn't agree with you more, Nintendo's atmosphere and immersion are second to none. The only company that still produces games whose experience is similar to retro games, you can launch and resume quickly at any time without any pressure. Every time I launch a game, it's like opening a door to enter an Isekai. I had my PC refunded, and all I did on it was install mods and download a multitude of games. It was starting to feel like fast food, so I picked up a Switch again. PC games aren't suitable for people with high neuroticism like me; I much prefer Nintendo's spellbinding, relaxing adventures.

Yep and the game while better than any of them since OOT still sucked because Aounuma was involved and gimped it from its true potential by having puzzle shrines instead of proper dungeons as well breakable weapons and inferior cartoon graphics instead of the realistic graphics the fans actually want because Nintendo/Aounuma still can’t admit and accept they were wrong in creating Wind Waker.

So BOTW is still good but heavily flawed with much of its flaws being hidden from the more clueless and naive members of the fan base by high production values.

The actual gameplay is what’s lacking in it ie needs far more arcade combat and streamlined simple controls and not the convoluted hard to navigate slop we did get.

Yeah this was the main thing that put me off wanting to play the game. That and the world looking a bit quantity over quality.

I'm sure it's technically good in many ways but... even Link's Awakening on the original Game Boy feels like it has more "magic" IMO.
