Ice Climbers NES from 1985 on GBA (2004)​

Janky physics and platforms are the only two real flaws. It is a NES gem. Everytime I play this game I feel happy again. After playing this, my father came back with the milk. The vibes are incredible, and compared to other NES classics it matches up perfectly. The only two characters, Popo and Nana, have been added to Super Smash Bros., and were only ever removed due to the puny processing power of the Wii U couldn't handle the holy power of 8B Ice Climbers, and they even came back in the next game. In smash, they were given an updated look and personality, making up for the lack of it in this game. This is one of the games of all time. Up there with Grand Theft Auto 5, Tetris, Minecraft, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Baldur's Gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Pac-Man Rally, and more. There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down in my pile of ice and metal climbing gear I have made in a shrine to this game and playing this on the GBA ( ) . I just wish Nintendo took more advantage of this amazing game. The only merch I can buy for this is just the Amiibo, of which I own 87, which is a travesty as it deserves more. There was never a sequel, and I wake up the exact second a new Nintendo Direct comes out waiting for Ice Climbers 2. I would pay thousands for Ice Climbers Monopoly, Ice Climbers Cereal, Ice Climbers Clothing, Ice Climbers and Pikmin Battle Royale and anything else at this point. I own every piece of Ice Climbers fan merch ever created, and I am in the process of moving to the top of a large icy mountain so I can experience climbing ice before I play Ice Climbers. I have 8,987 hours in Ice Climbers on the NES, 70 hours on the GBA, 369 hours on the GB, 85 hours on my PC, 73 in Ice Climbers Versus Arcade, 32 on the Switch, and 78 on Ice Climbers-e. As you can see, anyone who hasn't played this game on the NES hasn't played Ice Climbers. I have made 37 Ice Climbers fan games 7 of which are RPGS, one of which is a FPS, 12 of which are 2D platformers, and the rest are all 3D platformers. I also made Ice Climbers Chess and offered the rights to Nintendo to be produced (alongside the games I made), but they haven't returned my e-mails, calls, or breaking into Shuntaro Furukawa's home. ( ) After reaching my thousandth hour in Ice Climbers, I was visited by Kazuaki Morita who asked me why I was playing a game he considered a "warm-up" for Super Mario Bros., and I answered him by telling him, "Once You Climb The Ice, You Can't Come Back Down." He ran away after I pitched Ice Climbers 12: Too Cold, To Furious. Overall, my family may have left me, but i'm still happy. No matter what happens, my life on the Climbed Ice is serene. Nothing can hurt me. Nothing can break me. As long as I can climb up an icy surface, i'll be happy. Maybe one day I'll find someone who loves climbing ice as much as me, and I can stop being alone.

Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber​

Unfortunately, this game will never be as good for Ice Climbers on the NES, although it tries very hard to be. I only played it hoping that the Ice Level would be as good Ice Climbers, but alas, nothing can ever reach that peak.

Surmount​

This is the closest thing I have to Ice Climbers 2. I can finally climb ice again, albeit in a fan game. Unfortunately, they removed two of the best characters in this, those being Popo and Nana. Climbing the mountain was fine, but when the Ice showed up? Oh ho ho, THAT'S when I sat up straight in my chair. I can climb ICE??? In a game that isn't ICE CLIMBERS (or DK Jungle Climb)??? It's all i've ever wanted in life! Unfortunately, after a while I remember that this is a fan game. It isn't the real Ice Climbers 2 i've been waiting for. But I can pretend. I can hope, I can dream, and if I hold on to this, one day I can finally play Ice Climbers 2, for real.

Undertale (he put “contains spoilers”)​

This is just generally a great game, almost as good as Ice Climbers for the NES. But the real question here is "Can you climb ice?". The answer? Yes. When you begin snowdin, you move down and to the right. This scared me deeply, which is effective because I think this part was supposed to be scary (it had skeletons AND a lamp) but, it's true glory shines bright when you go through it backwards. You just began climbing ice, the only thing that truly matters. My goodness, this is some of the best ice climbing since Ice Climbers on the NES! You can ever kick a ball of snow! And if that isn't good enough, there is an enemy called Ice Cap, and you can turn it into ICE! Even better, while travelling through it, there are stairs that move up after you fall down a pit! I spent 6 whole hours just running around Snowdin! But afterwards, the game takes a turn. Sure, there's some more climbing, but the only remaining ice is the blocks that float next to you in some areas and even get melted in hotland. But the time I spent in snowdin climbing ice was well worth the rest of the game.( )

The Climb​

This game was everything I ever wanted. I can finally Climb Ice. This is the highest quality ice i've ever climbed. Is it as good as Ice Climbers? No. It only has so much Ice to climb, as there is "rock" and "earth" which is tolerable at best. The game was also extremely easy. I could rush up those Ice levels in a few seconds, but I could finally play Ice Climbers in VR like I always wanted, but still, not enough Ice.

There’s even a movie of this game, and he wrote a review for it too. I didn’t include it in this thread however.

Vacation Simulator​

I booting up the game because I smelled the faintest hint of climbing, hoping it could be as good as Ice Climbers on the NES, I decided it was worth a try. A few minutes later, I was told there was an Ice area. It was all coming together. The ice level was amazing. Full of cozy vibes, Ice, a hot tub, more ice, and a new area to be explored. I went there, and I saw it. A climbing wall. In ice. It was glorious. I played it for a few hours straight without failing. I decided to check out the rest of the game, but there wasn't anymore climbing. Despite this, this game is great and funny and has climbing ice.

What a video game title JFL. So dystopian.

Breath of the Wild​

This game is cool, and easy to pick up and play open world game, but I don't care about that. I care about climbing ice, like on the good old days when I still had a physical form on the NES playing Ice Climbers. After some girl talks to Zelda about the cannon get full control and I run up to a wall and OH MY GOD I CAN CLIMB IT! And after I go outside I see it. ICE. I instantly rush over there, killing all the enemies in my path with a stick in order to get to the ice faster. And the climbing is epic. I spent 8 hours on this game, 7 of which were climbing ice and dying my clothes so I can look like my role model Popo from Ice Climbers. overall it was a great game.

Tears of the Kingdom​

The game is very similar to Breath of the Wild, but better. But that isn't what I care about. I care about one thing, and it's in my name. Climbing. Ice. And can you climb ice in this game? You bet your icepick you can. There are many areas with ice that you can climb up, as all you need is a wall of ice. But besides that, it's a good game. The ice can be climbed and at the end of the day that is all I care about.

Minecraft​

Minecraft is a great sandbox game with many worlds to explore, games to play, challenges you can impose on yourself, but I don't care about that. Check the name. Ice climbing is the only thing I need, and there are two ways to climb ice in this game. Naturally, or custom. If you want a randomly generated ice climb, play survival mode and look for a nice icy mountain to build up or a glacier biome. If you want a custom experience, play on creative mode and build your own mountains like you've always wanted. But there is one more thing I want to talk about. This a great game, and you can even climb ice ( ) , but the creator has recently said some anti-lgbt things. I don't really understand that (although I don't understand straight relationships either, I only really understand climbing ice, but I guess I haven't met the right girl) and I found it distracting during my climbing. But that isn't the point at all. I also like the music (mostly just pig step) but it's unfortunate I can't carry the note block up the mountain while I climb. I love the Ender Dragon fight, as it requires climbing, like all good games should. Anyway, it's a great game.

Banjo-Koozie​

If you know who I am, I am a fan of Ice Climbers and climbing ice. But this game is just as good as that game. Sure, Ice Climbers is all I care about in life, but this game is my go-to when I want to play Ice Climbers 3D, as there are many ice areas in the game for ice climbing, such as Freezeezy Park or Click Clock Woods (Winter). This games ice levels are fun and expansive, and all of the other levels also contain ample climbing which I also love. Overall, It's great.

Now if you remember one of the avi’s I used to have, then you’ll see from the games he rated above how I found him. It’s always the Nintendo games where I find these individuals.
