As much as I hate Islam as an Arab, I totally disagree with your statement. Islamic societies were never more lookist than or as the west because islamic societies tend to be extremely misogynistic in nature. In an Islamic society men have all the power, it's to the point where women get blamed and shamed if they get raped, something they totally didn't volunteer to, yet the public sees them as guilty just for getting raped, which is pretty based. Most people underestimate how easy it is get away with rape as a man in an Islamic society. Also, Did you know that most women here are not actually allowed to have a choice when it comes to choosing their partner? Her parents are the ones to choose the man for her and she can't do or say anything about it even if she doesn't like the men they chose for her, it's impossible to not get laid here in the Middle East as a man since women here don't have thousands of options like the women in the west. Now I know you are wondering "If that's the case then why are you an incel?" it's because arranged marriages are superficial, I want to experience real love and intimacy from the opposite sex and not just live with a woman that hates me and wishes that I would die someday, yes I have all the power in the relationship and I could basically do anything to her from physical abuse to having sex with her whenever I want because both the law and society acknowledges me as the superior and would never see that I am wrong, but I still wont be satisfied because at the end the idea of living with a woman that isn't attracted to me on a sexual level is horrifying to me. They're lookist in the sense that if you're ugly, short or dark skinned they'll rub that on your face and are rude asf too, dark skinned Arabs and north Africans are told that they look like Indians and Pakis as an insult, even random people say that to random people out of the blue, lookism doesn't mean hypergamy is allowed necessarily
