It feels like whatever is popular today will be forgotten about within a month whether it's memes, online games or internet videos everything feels like it has a shorter shelf life than it did when I first began browsing the web. The average internet user doesn't ever take the time to stop to actually appreciate anything and is always moving on to consume the next thing. The average internet user has become a scroll zombie addicted to getting their small dopamine hits from whatever's new to avoid ever being bored at anytime.

It never used to be like this, I've been on the internet for a long time and remember the days when would move along at a normal pace. When i think of the old internet i remember Eduard Khil and his "Trolololo" song well his song was relevant to internet culture for almost a half decade since it got discovered in 2009. People were making constantly sharing and making remixes of it all the time.

When people who experienced that era of the internet look back on that era they almost always remember everything about it but can you tell me anything about how the internet was in 2018 for example? No because by that time the internet had gotten invested with these scroll zombies who just move on to the next thing.

I miss the old Internet.

normies will grab onto something, refuse to shut the fuck up about it for like two weeks and then move on to the next thing.

When they move on, they move on. They completely forget about the thing they latched onto after those two weeks.

I remember the good old times when the average meme had a lifespan of multiple years, now the average meme life span is less than a month, if even that
