This should be quite simple & straightforward, probably is water to most, but since we are approaching Spring & Summer I'll keep everyone hydrated.
But the growth of sort of "gym culture" is firstly a clear sign that for many men, things are clearly a lot harder. The gym used to be quite the niche, yet now it is a lot more common- literally everyone I knew towards the end of HS & beginning of College had a "gym arc" myself included.
Frankly, it does sadden me that the fact many guys feel the need to sculpt their bodies so hard nowadays isn't a "wake up call" to them. In the past, men just literally didn't have to be fat or anorexic-tier skinny. But nowadays, every male has to also on the side be some semi-pro bodybuilder to even be considered.
The proof lies within some stats:
incels.wiki

You see it plastered all over social media as well, from tradcucks to self-improoovers in the redpillsphere to really just everywhere.
And now ofc, many looksmaxxing guides tie into this & its arguable gym culture can lead some to discover the blackpill.

Researchers from Harvard in 2019 surveyed online dating users and non dating app users in the United States using Amazon's MTurk (Mechanical Turk) platform to evaluate if online dating usage was associated with risky image enhancing behaviors. Their sample included 1098 women and 628 men. 33% of the men in their survey reported using online dating. 36.4% of male online daters reported using Anabolic Steroids (AS), as opposed to only 3.8% of non online dating men who reported AS use.

Scientific Blackpill
The Scientific Blackpill is about understanding the nature of human social and sexual behavior with a particular focus on evolutionary psychological perspectives...
And ofc, amongst us it is noticeably higher.
- 30% of Gen Z are already regularly working out in fitness facilities – a far higher figure than the total adult population, which typically ranges between 15-25%.
