Hennard was described as reclusive and belligerent, with an explosive temper. He had been pushed out of the Merchant Marine because of possession of marijuana. Numerous reports included accounts of Hennard's expressed hatred of women.[1][4][3] An ex-roommate of his said, "He hated blacks, Hispanics, gays. He said women were snakes and always had derogatory remarks about them, especially after fights with his mother."[4] Survivors from the cafeteria said Hennard had passed over men to shoot women. 14 of the 23 people killed were women, as were many of the wounded. He called two of them a "bitch" before shooting them.[4]

A chad at it again.

Never heard about this incident, and I was 21 at the time. I only remember Marc Lepine's massacre in Montreal in 1989. As far as I know, he was the one who spearheaded the "incel rebellion".

Why don't we have Luby's where I live? Cafeteria restaurants sound like a great place to meet other incels... The guys who sat at the cafeteria tables alone in high school would be sitting alone at Luby's...

According to the Wikipedia article, the place of the shooting is not some Chinese restaurant. How appropriate. Some Cho-wannabe going to be shooting up that place some day.

How have I never heard of this one?

Looking up Lepiene, I learned that "the die is cast" has nothing to do with dye. Completely changes the meaning of the phrase.

I thought there was an earlier one in the 70’s
