No one needed any convincing. It is in human nature to seek easy solutions to complex problems, let alone something that cannot be solved at all. Desparate men are quick to look for some kind of solution, and the redpillers were there to prey on it. Before them it was PUAs, now it is the modern "looksmaxxers". The core idea of redpill that talks about behavioural importance is very appealing to the masses, it is easier to delude yourself into thinking that you can battle the nature, rather than accept it. There will always be more man in a need of a cope, and thus people ready to give it to them, for a price of course.
