I could never observe that in real life. Meanwhile with football, people will hang flags and posters all over their apartment, scream like apes infront of their TVs and acting like they are on the same level as professional football player. It also happens often enough where people literally beat up each other because the other one is a fan of a football team the other one doesnt like. Or do you see e.g. NVIDIA fans beating up AMD users because they have another opinion ?

The video is from an American perspective anyway, and there, they don't have the same club culture as we do, where clubs are deeply rooted in their region and fans are often members with a say. There's a long tradition, and many ultras even play football themselves. You can't compare that to this fat guy on the couch. Likewise, no American will understand the rivalries we have here, which are based on various political, historical, social, and other factors. Football is often a stage for conflict and also a form of identification that runs much deeper and which, in my opinion, only Europeans can truly grasp. While these soulless US franchises can simply change their location overnight and suddenly appear as a team from a completely different city and region. Lmfao
Anyway, I always find it funny when Americans believe that (European) football is only about what happens on the pitch.
