"Furthermore, these (those who deny the possibility of reaching the truth) sell that all sensible reality is in movement and that of that which changes nothing true can be said, concluded that it is not possible to tell the truth about that which changes in every sense and in every way. From this conviction derived the most radical of the doctrines mentioned: the one professed by those who claim to be followers of Hieraclitus and which Crotylus also shared. He ended up convincing himself that he shouldn't even speak, and limited himself to simply moving his finger, even reproving Hieraclitus for having said that it is not possible to swim in the same river twice: Crotylus, in fact, thought that it was not possible to bathe not even once"
