I read the manga and its uh, 'followup' (sidestory/gaiden?) but I never checked out the anime. I heard it was a poor adaptation.

I enjoyed GTO but it wasn't really blackpilled, yet still based. Its gives no mercy to all of the meanspirited females in the series and its pretty much wish fulfillment for men like us (particularly because bullying is a huge issue in Japan/Korea). The author has another series which basically covers this same topic where the teacher is another guy with martial arts skills and wears a helmet ala kamen rider (also part of an organization). I'm not sure but they might share the same universe.
What stands out to me now is how the main character mainly solves all of the problems in the show with his superhuman attributes and brute force, which simply wouldn't fly in the real world (at least not on that scale, individual bullies sure).
