Something I've observed in most normies is that almost all of them have this false sense of overconfidence in everything that they do. Even when they are wrong they simply cannot admit it, and so they double down, making them look even more stupid and incompetent.

All of this comes from the ego. They are too prideful in themselves, and they lack self awareness.

It stems from fear and arrogance. Often shown with people who are unable to control their emotions, and cannot think before talking.

No inner monologue or nothing.

This is why we call them NPC's.

This phenomena is very real, and deeply concerning. It's more so stupidity then anything else.

They will try to one up someone by trying to get to it first, but by doing so they stumble on their words because really they are not smart, and they know they are not.

If you want to test this out for yourself all you have to do is be honest and truthful. The normies will seethe and become malicious. Especially family members.

Often these people are narcs who abuse their children. Claiming they are morally righteous while beating down on something they don't understand.

They are the easiest to control because they don't think. They do as they are told, and they observe everything that other people say as fact. Especially when watching TV or viewing things online.

It's difficult for me to put into words how much this shit annoys me. This problem is only getting worse and worse due to social media. Not only has social media made people more narcissistic (which is a factor in dunning kruger) but there's also a shockingly large amount of pseudoscience, misinformation, contrarian broscience, etc. This type of content gets loads of views and likes despite being completely wrong and having mountains of evidence that easily disproves it. So they end up thinking it's unequivocally true ( "look at how many likes this has and followers this guy has, he must be right") and they end up confidently repeating it over and over. If you present them with any information that proves them wrong, they just double down, either completely ignoring it, finding some excuse to handwave it away or they'll just say your studies and data are all "fake".

Dealing with these people in real life is even more of a nightmare. I've been in social circles where there was one guy like this (who's usually there because he's the brother or cousin of someone else in the group) and man they're insufferable. When I was younger I was even more low inhib and impulsive so I'd always end up arguing with them despite knowing they'd just double down.

Even worse is dealing with them when you have to call customer service because you're having a technical issue with a product or service you've paid for. My advice, the best thing you can do if you call customer service and get a dunning kruger NPC is to hang up, call again, and hopefully get someone else that can help you.

But worst of all is dealing with someone like this in the workplace. Dealing with customers or worst of all, a manager who is like this. This means you have to kowtow to them or get fired.

This issue is one of the many reason i'm e/acc (pro-AI). The faster AI advances, the faster it will replace humans in positions where you'll have to deal with them, which ultimately means dealing with fewer dunning kruger narcissists.
