When millennials dominated online discussions, there was this ridiculous narrative that the N64 was somehow superior to the GameCube. These nostalgia blinded boomers acted as if Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie were better than any game on the GameCube. You couldn't have a discussion until recently without these fags attacking anyone who gave the GameCube some praise.

No, the N64 is not better than the GameCube. There is roughly two N64 games that are still exceptional and haven't aged like shit. They are Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Everything else on the N64 was completely mogged by the GameCube.

Idk which is "superior", both are good, GameCube is just overshadowed by n64 due to the super mario 64's popularity and couple of games like OOT, smash bros, star fox etc. It was the first 3d era of niggertendo and albeit being success, people respect it.

They both played a different role in gaming history. The N64 was a brief but very important moment where it forced the hand of other companies to shift from 2D to 3D games. Super Mario 64 effectively revolutionized how worlds are made, map creation and how cameras are used.

The N64 effectively walked so the GameCube could run. Both are great consoles. The GameCube objectively has better games. But anyone discrediting the N64's importance just doesn't know gaming
