The 27-year-old, from London, is one of a growing number of desperate Incels in the toxic manosphere community who are ‘hiring’ fake girlfriends, demanding subservient obedience that fuels their deeply entrenched views of resentment and anger.

The disturbing phenomenon is growing in popularity on online forums, where men are posting their ‘wish lists’ for an ideal partner and, crucially, how much they are willing to pay.

Women can make thousands of pounds by providing the ‘girlfriend experience’, which is usually conducted entirely over the internet, as a simulation of loving interaction that is not simply just about sex.

However, as a new documentary reveals, there remain troubling ethical questions over the murky business, as unstable men with mental health issues pay to assert ‘dominance’ over the women they pay.

Speaking to Ben Zand, the presenter of HUMAN: Why Men Rent Girlfriends, the banker – known only as ‘T’ – admits he has been radicalized by misogynistic influencers such as Andrew Tate, who has been accused of driving sexism in schools with his warped videos.

“I don’t want the realities of life. I want the yes woman who doesn’t say no,” T says.

“I would describe myself as a 27-year-old single male with a successful career but lacking in one department – the love department.

“For 95 per cent of my life I’ve been single.

“But a For Hire girlfriend, they’re getting paid so they’re going to do what they’ve got to do because they know you might cancel otherwise – if they’re not making you happy.

“It’s power you wouldn’t have over them in a normal relationship.”

Asked what he is looking for in a partner, he creepily explains: “A bit more submissive than ordinary women might be my niche.

“It’s about power, it’s my way of getting what I’m due.”

In a sign of how competitive the shadowy industry has become, some ‘girlfriends for rent’ even offer a free trial, agreeing to pretend to be in a relationship for a day without payment.

But for men like T, quickly setting up a financial transaction is the ideal scenario, and the reason he has spent more than £50,000 on bogus romances so far.

He said: “You suddenly realise, I can get whatever girl I want just by paying them – isn’t that the dream?

Like these posters, T says he struggles with loneliness, but admits that feeling has developed into something more sinister.

He confesses: “I’ve been drawn towards Incel culture. Watching Andrew Tate, listening for hours, and it’s going into your head.”

Many of the women are from South East Asia or South America, where men can use their economic power to gain control.

She went on to use her earnings to fund a university degree, but being a fake girlfriend proved so lucrative that she eventually abandoned her plans to become a lawyer.

If men want to meet Aime in person, she charges $800 to spend a day together, including sex.
