They were violent and burning cities back then, as well. And just like today they were relatively equal. Blacks have been equal since 1865. Even before that they were treated better than they should’ve been, being a slave mogged living in Africa infinitely.

MLK is not comparable to George Floyd or any other part of today's movement. We have him on camera saying numerous times "Don't riot, it's retarded." If anyone's rewriting history, it's people today. Who cherry pick the one time MLK kinda-sorta sympathized with rioters, when he said "Rioting is bad, but sometimes people get so angry that they, in their monkey-brained stupidity, can't think of anything else to do."
civil rights for blacks was a disaster , the black community used to at least have a functioning family unit but several years down the line they dont have that anymore and what they have instead is the baby momma and baby fotha bs
leaving meaningless concepts such as social justice out of it it is difficult to argue with any objectivity that the black race in america is in a better position than it was pre civil rights
And in a better position than any other place in the world too.
