I hate driving in the city when someone on an ebike comes swerving in out of nowhere. Some people are completely oblivious and do not follow the rules of the road. I never thought I’d turn into a Jeremy Clarkson esque bike complainer, but some people really get on my nerves. I do like bike riding though so I’d be down to join the gang. There are a lot of cool trails in the Northeast and biking in a city can be fun if done properly
Another thing that's good are converted camper vans. We can travel around anywhere and always have a place to stay, then use the ebike for short commutes.
Lol, I never noticed them until now. The ebikes have better acceleration and handling than regular dirt bikes.
There's no such thing as a chess gangs or a minecraft gangs because they always stay in doors, we need to be out in the open always ready for anything.

For $3000 (?) i got a 50cc 4 stroke gas friction drive recumbent that will do 30 mph and haul 70+#'s. Just add gas instead of waiting for a battery to recharge. It took ~> 3 years to pay for... But i can fix it myself.

Actually, the joke is on (((insurance companies))) and various (((.gov revenue offices))).
The technology has been around for a long time. Now they've almost got it perfected. They can take the same amount of abuse as regular dirt bikes with less maintenance and no oil changes.
When you go off road and go the opposite way in traffic they won't be able to get you. Here's an over hour long video of bikes getting away from cops.

But I'm more practical. I need a truck. A narrow truck to haul 50# sacks of dog food and dirty laundry 30+ miles (round trip) to the motherfucking laundrymat!
Basically, i wish i could afford a silent mode bike! But alas. My distance is too far and my loads too large. I looked into it. The battery is the most expensive part. And for the range i would need 3 of them. Or... For 1/3 of a us gallon of gas ($1) i can ride without stopping.
The bikes and cars have ranges of over 100 miles per charge.
The bikes were able to get to 60 miles per charge two years ago.
Oh. I did my research 5+ yars ago... But still. I can find a local small engine mechanic to fix mine or try to do it myself if it died. My Honda engine is very popular and there's parts everywhere...
Last i heard China is closed for business. The things are sweet, that's the truth. But there are too many points of failure on them. If one cell on the battery pack dies it dies. If a diode pops, it dies. If a emp hits, it dies.
If my engine dies, i can remove it and still have a ridable bike. Because it was a bicycle first. Then it got motorized.
I would still want a ebike! But I'm glad for what i already have. It works.

No, but I hope soon. Since I don't have a motorized bike yet I rather choose an electric one over a gasoline one.
The electric bikes have pedals too. From what I've heard the new ones are reliable or easy to have parts replaced and repaired.
I wanted a "stoke monkey" or a mid-drive... But currently am considering a 20" hub motor for my front wheel, to make starts easier. Save my clutch pads and all that. Use a dual power system. Maybe use regenerative braking on downhills under load? It's hard to pedal the thing to the required 8mph on a uphill! So a e-assist battery would last a long time. It only has to pull maybe about 10 minutes instead of 10 miles!
High iq. Getting an e-assist battery would be a lot less expensive, and will help with going up hills after stops.
The way it is now is... I don't stop. I keep going. It's wearing on my nerves.

Too many other more important things to get. Like a new woodstove. A 100ah 12v battery (and wires, etc) for my solar system... All high dollar items.
I only ride my scootery thing to town once a week or less.
There's only one stop sign to ignore. No traffic lights in 50 miles any direction.
I guess if it's only one sign then it's no big deal to have it fixed right away. Having a stove to cook and electricity is probably more important.
The battery has to be a LiFePo battery so i can get more than a decade out of it. I also need a deep freezer to convert to a refrigerator. That and a fan is all I'll power with that system. I'll have a smaller system for lights and shit. But the China syndrome is fucking with my plans. They make all the batteries!
I can probably repair my stove and get a few more yars out of it....

Yeah. The battle born is the best rated, but i was hoping the price dropped more. I know how to build one for less. From a kit. But it's still about 700 for the whole pile of stuff. Bms, cell kit and all that. No hurry. Who knows. If China collapses that will be the end of cheap electronics. So i might have to use crappy lead batteries. Or trade out of my irreplaceable solar panels for a lovely new bangstick or whatever. I have postapoc lighting covered... Aa flashlights. Lol.
It's no big deal really. Just a dream to get my electric covered before i buy some cheap land. But for the price i could probably just get the land first and forget about refrigeration...
It's taken me a few yars to get the stack of panels and charge controller. So it's no hurry.
Are you living outside of civilization, how do you use the internet and charge your computer?
I live rural. In a large trailer with a outhouse. Near a forest. Near cows. I use my landlords power via an extinction cord. I pay about 40+ a month to power my mini fridge and lights and fans. I also have access to a full size standard refrigerator thats outside, that i use for freezer and my large bags of fruit.
I can stop paying for electric if i provide my own. We often have blackouts due to being at the end of the power line system.
It's better than what I'm used to. I used to live in the woods in a tent before i moved here 10+ years ago. It's pretty cheap so that's how I'm able to buy a nice bike with my tiny neetbuxx.
It's my dream to be able to live off neetbux one day too, preferably in a farm area like yours. I guess 10 years ago it was easier to live in the woods because we didn't use the internet as much or had smart phones.
It's not so much the internet or phones, it's the cameras! The roads into the woods are monitored. Not just by nosy old cunts anymore! Cameras and drones. Not everywhere of course, but lots of places. The forests are "central bank collateral!" (Just like citizens)
That's creepy that the woods are monitored now. I always wanted to be able to camp out somewhere in a random place in the woods, but not if there will be cops watching me.
The trick is to find a blind spot. Corners are nice... Also. If you bike in, you can cover your trail. But anywhere you can drive a car you can be found easy...
