Recently i finished reading the 1984. After that a lot of the political behavior i see around made more sense. The ideia i had about democracy been just a play, just illusion, got stronger.
I live in a country deep in corruption. "Trickster" is a cultural trait. The most prominent politicians are always involved in some scandal or crime,and i always thought "how can people keep voting for someone how is not even trying to hide his crimes anymore?". How can you talk about justice and virtue when you don't live like that?
Well... doublethink. It was in front of me all the time. Rational arguments won´t work on most of the people anymore. They love The Big Brother (system) and there is no reality beyond that for them.
Not that i can smarter, no, i am a defective product, for a cannot "become a person like other people" - quoting Taxi Driver.
Unable to scape and unable became mentally dormant. So why? Why accepting the "doublethink" is so hard? What is this indignation that does not go away?
