Look at this documentary, this is the Boötes Void. It's one of the largest known structures in the observable universe. Over 330 million light years across, containing almost nothing. Not just empty, it’s absent. Where thousands of galaxies should be, there are only a handful, under 60 if I heard it correctly. It's literally a wound in the cosmic web. To astronomers, it’s sometimes called the 'Great Nothing'. But even that is an understatement.

if you were in the center of the void with a God like suit that protects you, you would face a kind of existential terror the human brain was never evolved to process. You would look in every direction and see nothing. No stars. No clusters. No light. No structure. Just nothingness as if you were staring at death itself, so infinite that your sense of space, time, and self would begin to dissolve.

And yet somehow primal humans fantasize about traveling to other galaxies:feelsclown:But we are still too primal, Still filthy. We eat, kill, and die in cycles, dressed up in delusions of progress. We are loud, unstable, myth bound animals with egos far larger than our technology.
The Boötes Void is beautiful because it is untouched, because it has never known us. No signal from Earth has reached it, and no echo will return. It is a cathedral of silence, an untouched archive of deep time and it should remain that way. The idea of sending this species into such purity makes my skin crawl. This shit species called humanity doesn't deserve the universe.

space is cold, empty and lifeless, not worth fantasizing about

You're right space is cold, empty, and lifeless.
That’s precisely why it’s worth contemplating.
Because it isn’t us, not humanity. Anything is better than this shit rock we live on, accompanied by humans.
It isn't tribal. It isn't violent. It isn't self obsessed or soaked in ideology.
It doesn’t lie to itself about meaning, or burn its own habitat for profit.
It simply exists. Vast, unbothered and serene. Sometimes even beautiful and colorful.
To someone still tethered to the delusions of this species space feels meaningless. I don't understand how you couldn't be infatuated with the universe

You do know that space is fake and gay, right?

And the flat earth, doesn't move...

But I'll take a look @ that booty. See the CGI...

3 hours?

A three, hour, tour?

Goddamned Gilligan!

What else am I supposed to do lol
It's Better to kill time this way, listening to it while gaming or something

I always thought about how terrifying space truly was as a teencel. I believe the whole idea that JEWmanity can set up civilizations on other planets is extremely delusional, the number of hazards out in that cold emptiness is near-infinite.

Still, companies will keep making billion-dollar space shuttles that’ll go absolutely nowhere

Humanity is still ideologically fragmented and technologically juvenile. The thought we could establish off world civilizations is pure science fiction. We haven’t even reached Type I on the Kardashev scale, which measures a civilization’s ability to harness the full energy of its home planet. We’re currently hovering around 0.72, still burning hydrocarbons and tearing each other apart over imaginary borders, its fucking laughable. Reaching something like the Boötes Void over 300 million light years away, would require energy manipulation on the scale of entire galaxies, somewhere in the domain of a Type III civilization.

For context the Covenant in Halo likely operate around Type II on the Scale, harnessing stellar energy, slipspace travel, and artificial gravity as routine tools. That’s the kind of tech floor you'd need to even consider reaching something like the Boötes Void.

Existential horror scares me so much

It surprises me that the younggcels can't tell that it's CGI with all the cgi movies they're watching and the cgi in video games.

It is too obvious. Even some video games have more realistic real time scenes.

"It's real cause I saw it on TV"

Gotta be. The planes flew right into the towers, and then they started burning. Well, not really, but black smoke came out.
Then some other WTC tower literally did a freefall to the ground. It did not get hit, but the TV people told me that it burned inaide because of debrees feom the ttwin towers.

Later the twin towers fell. The TV people told me that it was becausw of the raging fire which melted the steel beems.
They've found a fully intact ID card of one of the perps.
Those god damn terrorists.

They've planned this whole thing in a cave.

Fascinating.
Thanks for sharing.
If you stood at the center of the Boötes Void you’d be engulfed by over 300 million lightyears of silence and absence in every direction. No stars. No galaxies. No light. Just blackness not night time blackness or the blackness you see in our milky way when outside in space, more comparable to death than darkness. That's the best way to describe it. It's literally nothingness while still being alive.

Most people would probably kill themselves with a gun if they knew where they are in a God like protective suit.

I wish I found a good cave when I was looking....
