If I recall correctly, the CCP was supposedly shifting to social conservatism under the banner of "neoauthoritarianism", ostensibly in response to low fertility rates, but I am not sure anymore.

Why would there be no immigration? The rulers don't give a fuck about their country's culture or nationality, they run it like a business and treat the citizens like employees. If the slaves are too demanding and don't want to breed replacements, the rulers will import cheaper replacements.
