and you actually relate more with Tetsuo than Kaneda (which is the main protagonist).
So basically, Kaneda, is the good looking jock, full of charisma, hereby taller, nice hairline, good game with women and get respected as the leader of the group.
On the other hand, we have Tetsuo; the smaller shrimp, shit hairline, shit face, zero charisma that got bullied during his childhood. Receives ZERO validation form his peers, gets mocked often and becomes insecure of his poisiton in the group.
Bascially, at the end of the story, he went full ER.
My only problem with Tetsuo though, is that he at least had this one girl who actually loved him despite his flaws and he still treated her like trash.
Anyway, Akira is a good read/watch and a good cope; both the movie and manga.
