Good thread. I've long thought the same thing. Importantly, texting places constraints on and frames the communication done with it; per McLuhan, medium is message. If you want to court a hole via text, you will necessarily have to dance like a marionette. The linguistic poverty of de facto text pidgin will have you saying things like 'haha lets chill', making a fool of yourself as you type out expressions of feminine vacuity in mimetic mirroring of your interlocutor.
