The fundamental component of the personality is the id, which deals with the satisfaction of base urges. This includes both food and intimacy.
If the satisfaction of your base urges is imperiled, then it is only natural that you become barbaric as a survival mechanism.
In the case of a food shortage, this inevitably leads to theft, revolution, and cannibalism.
And in the case of an intimacy shortage, this inevitably leads to rape (violating women), violence (ERs), and paraphilias (fetishes like trannies).
Ironically, soyciety tells sexually immiserated men that rape and violence are wrong, but that paraphilias are okay, and even a way of sublimating their libido, which is analogues to saying that theft and revolution are wrong if you're starving, but that cannibalism is okay and even advisable.
Believe it or not, the latter has been explicitly stated by the Jewish-led Church of Euthanasia, which decries an overpopulated world that cannot possibly sustain all its needs, and therefore advocates for the extinction of the human species, but still somehow manages to assign the concept of a soul to human beings, and while elevating cannibalism to a pillar of its "religion," makes sure to disclaim that you can only eat a body that's already dead. Likewise, it promotes suicide, but not murder, and promotes sodomy, but denied the HIV/AIDS epidemic (instead of celebrating it, like genuine anti-natalists interested in the death of the human species did).
