Technology should has been stopped at the 2000s, when the slow internet did not allowed the social media on smartphones to exist. I watched videos of people in Afghanistan and North Korea, and I was actually envious.

I'm not against technology; technology should be developed to the fullest for national defense purposes, but no more than that.

High speed internet shall return to its military root.

2005 was the perfect year for everything to stop (for vehicles 1980's and for houses 1920's). You had an opportunity to easily live without the internet and you got irl service easily. Protecting your privacy was easy back then. You could only use landline telephone but now in my country the copper lines and telephone poles have been removed.

The 2000s saw the boom of technology. Flip phone aesthetics, blackberry, Gameboy SP and the iPod still look like fun and interesting devices beaming with personality.

Personally, I think gaming was much better in the 2000s. The industry had a higher output of quality content. You had dozens of remarkable games released each year. Furthermore, you didn't have to wait too long to get the next instalment. These days, you're lucky to get a few good games in a year...and then you're stuck waiting a huge chunk of your life to play the next one.

Games in the 2000s had far less anti-consumer business practices. Games also tended to launch in a better state. Not to mention that they were less PC and effeminate. Gaming peaked in the late 2000s and early 2010s. It has been on a steady decline since then.

I do like having the internet and a smartphone. If I didn't have online people to talk to I'd have pretty much nobody. If I had a lot of irl people to socialize with I'd be ok with significantly reducing my screen time.
